Delivery Driver Dispatch

Delivery Driver Dispatch

Driver Dispatch

Driver Dispatch is a management tool used to assign deliveries to drivers. It groups the deliveries by driver, provides information including return time estimates and walks the driver through closing their orders when they return.

To enable on the POS, in Back Office, go to Settings > Delivery Settings and click the toggle for Enable Dispatch.

We recommend also enabling "print itemized receipt on dispatch" for an optimized workflow.

Starting a Driver Dispatch

To create a dispatch, there must be delivery orders. Delivery orders to dispatch can be open or settled.

  • Tap the Car icon at the top right of the POS screen.
  • Tap the New Dispatch button in the top right of the screen.
  • Tap the name of the driver to select for the dispatch.
  • Select the deliveries to assign to the driver.
    • This can be done either on the left-side bar or by tapping the pins on the map.
  • Tap the Start Dispatch button.

Information about the dispatch including the driver's estimated return time is shown on the screen. When enabled, an itemized receipt with delivery information will print at the current register.

  • Tap the Back button in the top left to return to the dispatch management screen and view all current dispatches.

Tap the Car icon at the top of the screen to launch dispatch.

Tap New Dispatch to start a dispatch.

Select the driver for the dispatch.

Select the orders and Select Start Dispatch to start the dispatch.
