Adding a customer to an order allows for tracking of customer order history and loyalty points (if implemented).
Customers are added to orders as a requirement for delivery, pickup, phone and online orders. However, all order types can have customers added to the order.
There are two ways to add a customer to an order:
- The customer button on the new order screen -- If enabled, the customer button can be tapped to add a customer. When a customer is added their name will appear on the button.
- Via the "More" button -- From the new order screen, tap the "More" button. Then tap "Add Customer".

Using CRM on the POS
Once you tap to add a customer you will see the add customer screen or CRM. This screen will look slightly different depending on the order type, but adding a customer is the same.

- Begin by entering the customer's information such as NAME, PHONE NUMBER or CUSTOMER ID.
- As you type, matching results will appear along the bottom of the screen. Tap to select an existing record for a previously saved customers
- If the customer has not been saved in the system previously, enter the customer's contact information.
- The minimum information required to save a CRM record is first name and phone number.
- However, we recommend getting complete information for customers as it will make it easier when the customer orders again to already have a complete record.
- Multiple addresses can be saved to a customer profile. To manage multiple addresses:
- Tap the green plus sign to add a secondary address.
- Enter the secondary address.
- To remove an address, tap the red X

Once you have entered all of the guest's information, tap the Save button in the top right corner to finish attaching the customer to the order.
Delivery Venues
In addition to typical street addresses, sometimes deliveries need to be made to hotels, college campuses, office complexes etc. These addresses can be added to the CRM as delivery venues in back office. Then they will be available on the POS.
- Tap the Choose Venues button
- Select a saved venue from the list
- Enter the room/suite number for the delivery
Tap the Save button to complete the steps and attach the customer to the current order.
