Print queue types

  • Customer Receipt Printer -- The printer for customer receipts and credit card authorization slips. This printer also controls the opening of the physical cash drawer.

    • Receipt printers are configured per-iPad

    • Receipt printers can be shared by multiple iPads as long as "sharing" is accepted when prompted.

  • Order Queues -- These queues print ordered products to the selected printers and are named for the station they will print to (Grill, Bar, etc.). These queues are configured in Back Office > Product Management > Print Queues.

    • Order printers can be set as global or local

      • Global -- All POS iPads obey the same printer rules

      • Local -- The printer assignment is set per-iPad for the queue

      • TIP: Order printers can also be disabled on a per-tablet basis under the "more" settings button on the printer configuration screen. This is useful for bars where the customer is telling the bartender what drink to make.

  • Smart KDS Queues

    • These print queues are configured for use with the Rezku Smart KDS app.
