iPad Settings
Before getting started, there are a few settings in the iPad we need to adjust. This needs to be completed on each iPad that will be used as a register. It is most important for the Master register.
QR codes are available for direct links to all the Rezku POS apps. Go to Back Office > Rezku Applications and hold your iPad camera up to the QR code to be taken directly to the app you want to install.
Rezku POS is an iPad app downloaded from the Apple App store that turns your iPad into a Point of Sale.
To install Rezku POS, tap the App Store icon on your iPad’s HOME screen, to open the App Store.
When the App Store opens, tap on the search button at the bottom right of the screen.
Use the search bar in the App Store to type Rezku POS.
When you find the Rezku POS app, tap the “GET” button. NOTE: If you have downloaded the app before it will show a cloud icon in place of the "GET" button.
To authorize the download, enter your Apple ID and password.
If you need help logging into your App Store account go to https://iforgot.apple.com or contact Apple directly: https://support.apple.com/
Once the Rezku POS icon appears on the Home screen, tap the icon to launch Rezku POS.
When you open the Rezku POS app for the first time you will see the following screen.
Contact Rezku Support to activate Rezku POS for your account via a verification code.
You will receive an 8-digit code that is valid for two minutes only.
You will not need to register the app again unless you log out of your account.
Next, you’ll see the Rezku POS lock-screen.
To log in as the current user, enter your employee PIN.
Your PIN gives you permission to perform your job functions in Rezku POS that require authorization.
PINs provide accountability for orders and other actions taken on the POS
Employee PINs are set by managers when adding new users to Back Office
Once you have entered your PIN you can now use Rezku POS.
For iPads operating in "cash register mode", at the beginning of the day before orders can be taken you will be prompted to open the cash drawer.
Opening the drawer starts a new record for cash drawer activity at this register. It continues until the drawer is closed at the end of the day.
Tap the Open Drawer button.
A manager must provide authorization
Enter the amount of cash the drawer is starting with. You can enter the amount of bills/coins or simply enter the total in "Other".
After you tap the “submit” button you’ll see the main POS ordering screen.
Note: Cash drawer management and taking POS orders are covered in detail in other documentation.
