Discount presets allow you to save your most commonly used discounts (e.g. Senior Discount, Employee Discount). Discount presets can be Order Discounts or Product Discounts.
NOTE: Only Product Discounts allow you to specify qualifying products.
TIP: Discounts can be tracked using the Discount Report. To see how Discounts are being used and by who, use the Sales Exceptions Report
Create a New Discount Preset
To create a new discount preset:
Click the Add Discount button
In the Edit Discount panel:
Discount Name -- Name the discount preset as it will appear on the POS
Discount Type -- Choose if it's an order discount or a product discount
Order -- Order discounts apply to the whole order. You can not specify which products qualify for the discount.
Product -- Product discounts only apply to products. You can specify which products qualify for the discount.
Fixed/Relative Discount -- Choose the discount type
Fixed Discount -- A flat dollar amount discount
Relative Discount -- Discount a percentage of the price
Discount Amount -- Enter the amount, either dollars or percent, based on the discount type
Loyalty Point Cost -- Only customers with at least this many loyalty points can apply the discount. Applying the discount will remove these points from their balance.
Choose Products for Product Discounts
Product discounts allow you to select included products for the discount.
To choose products for a product discount:
Click the Choose Products button next to the discount name
Use the toggles to select products that qualify for the discount
