What is Coursing?

Some restaurants serve meals in courses, e.g. Apps, Entree, Desert. The guests choose an item from each course before dining and the staff time the food for the guest so it arrives on time.

Rezku POS has features to accommodate the coursing workflow.

Setting up Coursing in Back Office

Rezku pre-configures standard courses in Back Office. Find courses in Back Office > Product Management > Courses

TIP:  If coursing will not be used by the restaurant, all of the pre-set courses can be removed and the courses will not appear on the POS.

To add a new course:

  • Click the Add Course button at the top left of the screen
  • Name the course
  • Use the toggle to set whether "Fire By Course" is enabled
    • NOTE: If "Fire By Course" is not enabled for the course in Back Office, it will not be available as an option on the POS under More > Fire

To Edit an existing course:

  • Click the Edit Details button next to the course name
    • You can now edit the name, enable/disable fire by course or delete the course

To help save time when ordering, you may want to set a default course for products, such as "cake", as a desert. Servers can still modify the course when ordering.

To set a default course for products:

  • Click the Choose Products button next to the course name
  • Use the toggles to select products to default to this course

The # Selected reflects the number of products currently selected for this course.
