Uploaded Image Requirements

You can upload images in various places in Back Office. These images will appear on the POS and online. Here are the recommended file types, resolution and image dimensions for use with these uploads.

Quick Facts:

  • The server file upload limit for a single image is set to 20MB. The server will re-save an optimized version of the file that is uploaded r.
  • Compatible image file types include standard image file types .jpg, .png, .gif, .tif and some less common image formats like .psd, .ai and PDFs.
  • When you require an image that has transparency, like for the logo that is used on the lock screen, use a .png file with transparency enabled.

Tips:

  • To get the image to center when cropped by the system, it should match the aspect ratio of the final display image (E.g. square pixel ratio for product images).
    • Images that don’t match the display resolution will be cropped and resized by the server automatically, based on the center of the image.
  • For the highest quality images, upload the original source file and let the server do the optimizing.
  • Make sure the source image is of a sufficient resolution to avoid pixelation when viewed on screen.

Image Specifications: Resolutions listed are what the server resizes these images to. For the best quality images, your upload should meet or exceed the resolution listed below.
