In tip and gratuity settings you set up how Rezku handles tips and house service charges (gratuity).
Tip settings pertain to how tipping is handled on the POS.
Enable Tips -- Enable tipping on the system
Print Tip Suggestions on Credit Slip -- Print tip suggestions at the bottom of credit card authorization slips
Use Order Subtotal for Tip Suggestions on Easy Split -- Determines how tip suggestions are calculated for Easy Splits
TIP: This is an important setting because Easy Split is also used for split payments for the same customer (cash and gift card, for example).
Recommended Tip Values -- Enter the tip suggestions that will appear on both the printed credit authorization slip, customer facing screens and for online ordering.
Credit Tips Withheld -- Enter a percentage of employee tips that will be withheld from payout. NOTE: Consult your local laws to remain in compliance with this practice.
Tip Warning Limit (%) -- Enter a value considered an "excessive tip". When servers enter tips over the expected percent they will get a warning on the POS. This is used to help reduce the amount of typos when entering tips.
Minimum Cash Tip (%) -- To reduce servers under-reporting cash tips, enter a minimum percent of cash sales they can claim at the end of the night for tips.
Pay out Credit Tips in Cash at End of Shift -- When enabled, credit tips are paid to servers in cash as part of the End Shift procedure. When disabled, tips must be disbursed by the restaurant using some other method.
Add/Deduct Pay Ins/Pay Outs from Net Cash -- When enabled, use of the Pay-In and Pay-Out drawer controls reflect on the "Net Cash" line on the server's Shift Summary Report.
Deduct Gratuity From Net Cash -- When enabled, "Net Cash" on the server's Shift Summary report will deduct gratuity from cash owed. For restaurants that pay out gratuity (service charges) to servers.
Deduct All Tips from Net Cash -- When enabled, Net Cash on the server's Shift Summary report will deduct additional sources of tips including Gift Cards and External payment types.
Gratuity Presets -- Enter 3 gratuity presets to quickly apply to orders on the POS. Gratuity is a percent of the order total and is considered a house service charge, distinct from a tip.
Gratuity Tax -- Choose a tax from the drop-down list to apply if gratuity is taxed in your jurisdiction.
Apply Gratuity to Large Parties -- When enabled, large parties automatically have gratuity applied
You can create pre-set tip-outs for servers that print on their Shift Summary report. This is used to help servers know how much of their tips to give to other departments.
To edit or delete a suggested tip-out click the Edit Details button next to the tip-out name.
