SII (Seiko Instruments) RP F-10

SII (Seiko Instruments) RP F-10

Introduction

The Seiko RP F-10 is a thermal POS printer available for use with Rezku POS as a receipt printer and cash drawer printer for registers.

NOTE: Since it is not equipped with an ethernet connection, it is suitable for local printing only; through bluetooth or USB-C connection to the host iPad running Rezku POS. Connecting the iPad to the USB-A port on the printer will not work.

Specs

Paper type: Thermal paper

Paper roll width: 80mm

Paper roll outside diameter (max): 83mm

Dot density (dots-per-inch resolution): 203 DPI

Printing width: 72mm

Ports and Connectivity

Ports and connectivity may be different depending on the sub-version of the printer.

Power

USB

USB printing allows a direct cabled connection between the printer and the iPad POS station. USB printers cannot be used as a shared device between multiple POS stations and should not be set as an order printer.

USB printing only works using the USB-C port, as shown below. Do not plug the iPad into the USB-A port.

Ethernet

Ethernet connection allows the printer to be shared on the network between multiple POS stations. This includes both receipt printing and order printing.
NOTE: Not all units are equipped with ethernet

Bluetooth Connection

The printer can be paired with one iPad for use as a POS receipt printer. Bluetooth does not allow sharing of the printer between POS stations. If bluetooth connection is used, this printer should not be used as an order printer.

To connect (pair) bluetooth:

  • Turn the printer off
  • Press and hold the power button for 7 seconds or more
  • The LED blinks, indicating pairing mode
  • In the iPad bluetooth settings, select the printer to pair with it

Drawer Kick (DK)

The automatic cash drawer is controlled by the printer. The RJ12 connector from the drawer must be plugged into the DK port of the printer to provide this function.

Loading the paper

  • Release the cover latch and open the cover
  • Remove a spent core if it is inside the printer
  • Insert the new roll
  • Close the top cover
  • Turn the printer off and back on to clear the out of paper error

The paper must be thermal type paper with the correct dimensions. Note that the paper loads with the roll feeding towards the front of the printer.
