Gift Cards



The Gift Card dashboard can be found in the Back Office > Promotions > Gift Card Dashboard > View Gift Card Dashboard


Gift Card Dashboard

In the dashboard you can view:

  • The number of active cards

  • Total liability (yet unspent gift-card balances)

  • The volume of gift card “loads” and “redeems
  • A graph showing new cards sold in the last 30 days





Gift Card Portal Sales

Rezku OLO comes with an online gift card sales portal where customers can purchase eGift cards for themselves or others.


To view sales in the online Gift Card Portal click the Gift Card Portal Sales button.


In gift card portal sales:

  • Click the calendar to set the date viewed (you can only view a single day)
    • The default view is today
  • You can see all the gift card purchases made for the day



To Resend eGift Cards:

In Gift Card Portal Sales, you can resend eGift cards and update the email address used to resend. This is helpful when a guest informs the restaurant that their gift card was not received. Often this is due to a typo on the part of the guest when entering the email address.

NOTE: This is not the only reason a gift card will not be received. They should also check their spam folder.



Order Gift Cards

When you click the Order Gift Cards button it launches a new tab, taking you to our partner website for ordering physical cards.


Rezku Gift Cards are high-quality reusable plastic cards with full-color high resolution designs.


When ordering gift cards, we highly recommend the Custom Card option. Contact Rezku support for details about our complimentary design and graphic file setup assistance. We'll make sure your cards look beautiful and the file is formatted correctly for printing.


Gift cards ordered through Rezku are automatically configured for use with your system.


TIP: The physical cards can be used as a Gift Card, as a guest Loyalty Card and as an employee access card.





Issue a Gift Card

To activate a new gift card with a specified value, click here.

NOTES:

1. Only physical gift cards can be activated with this setting.

2. It must be a new, un-activated gift card.

3. Value added to gift cards activated in back office do not have an associated order number and are not reflected in the Daily Report. See the gift card reports for details.



To issue a gift card:

  • Card ID -- Enter the card ID near the bar-code on the back of the gift card.
  • Amount -- Enter the dollar amount to activate on the card.
  • Issue -- Click the issue button to save your settings and activate the card.




Create & Email a Gift Card

This setting allows you to create and email a new eGift card (digital gift card) for a specified amount.


NOTE: Since there is no transaction associated with this function, it will not show up in Gift Card Portal Sales. This means the eGift card email can not be re-sent if there is a typo or it is sent to the wrong email address.



To issue an eGift card:

  • Amount -- Enter the dollar amount activated for the eGift card.
  • Recipient Email -- Enter the email address the eGift card will be sent to.
  • Recipient Name -- Enter the name that will appear in the email.
  • Message -- Enter a message to include with the eGift card email.
  • Issue -- Click the issue button to send the eGift card email.




Bulk Load Gift Card

This setting allows you to bulk load a series of unactivated physical gift cards as a batch.

NOTES:

1. Previously activated cards can not be bulk loaded.

2. The range of cards in the series must be unbroken for bulk loading to work.

3. The maximum number of cards that can be bulk loaded at one time is 500 cards.


To Bulk Load Gift Cards:

  • Amount -- Enter the dollar amount to activate on all the cards in the series.
  • Start Sequence # -- Sequence number for the first card in the series. The sequence number is found in the top right corner, when looking at the back of the card.
  • Start ID -- Enter the gift card ID number found next to the bar code on the back of the card, for the first card in the series.
  • End Sequence # -- Sequence number for the last card in the series. The sequence number is found in the top right corner, when looking at the back of the card.
  • End ID -- Enter the gift card ID number found next to the bar code on the back of the card, for the last card in the series.
  • Tag -- Apply an existing tag or click New Tag to create a new tag to apply to this sequence of gift cards.
  • Bulk Load -- Click the bulk load button to activate this sequence of cards with the specified dollar amount.


TIP: The sequence number of the cards is incremental. The first and last number in the series should be as far apart as the number of cards. E.g. When loading 20 cards, if the first card is number 000123 the last card should be number 000143.


Bulk Tag Gift Cards

You can tag a sequence of gift cards in bulk for use in tracking.



To Bulk Tag Gift Cards:

  • Tag -- Apply an existing tag or click New Tag to create a new tag to apply to this sequence of gift cards.
  • Start Sequence # -- Sequence number for the first card in the series. The sequence number is found in the top right corner, when looking at the back of the card.
  • Start ID -- Enter the gift card ID number found next to the bar code on the back of the card, for the first card in the series.
  • End Sequence # -- Sequence number for the last card in the series. The sequence number is found in the top right corner, when looking at the back of the card.
  • End ID -- Enter the gift card ID number found next to the bar code on the back of the card, for the last card in the series.
  • Bulk Tag -- Click the Bulk Tag button to apply the tag to this gift card sequence.


Gift Card Lookup

This setting is used to search for and manage individual gift cards. They can be physical gift cards or eGift cards.

NOTE: The full gift card number is required to use this feature.



To look up a gift card:

  • Gift Card ID -- Enter the gift card ID number. For physical cards this is found on the back of the card near the bar code. For eGift cards this is found in the original email that was send.
  • Magnifying Glass -- Click here to search, or press enter on the keyboard.



Managing Gift Cards

If a matching result is found, data for the card is presented.

  • Card Data
    • Card Number -- ID number for the gift card
    • Current Balance -- The current dollar value stored on the card
    • Sequence ID -- The sequence ID of the card (Used by the system only)

Additionally, you can manage the card with the following buttons:

  • Add Funds -- Add additional funds to the gift card.
  • Deduct Funds -- Decrease the funds available on the gift card.
  • View History-- Click to view a complete log of all card activity.
  • Void Gift Card -- Remove all funds from the gift card. NOTE: The card valid and additional funds can be added at a later time.



Adding Gift Card Funds

Click here to add additional funds to the card.

  • Enter the amount of funds to add to the current balance in Adjustment Amount.
  • Click the Add button to update the card balance.




Deducting Gift Card Funds

Click here to remove funds from the card.

  • Enter the amount of funds to remove from the current balance in Adjustment Amount.
  • Click the Deduct button to update the card balance.




Voiding a Gift Card

This setting will zero-out the current balance on the gift card.

  • Click Void to set the current balance of the gift card to $0.00



Viewing Gift Card History

Click here to view a complete log of all gift card activity including loads, spends, redeems and manual adjustments.




Gift Card Tags

Here you can add and remove gift card tags. Tags are used for additional tracking of gift cards.



To Manage Gift Card Tags:

  • Add Tag -- Click here to add a new tag for use with gift card tagging.
  • Name -- Names of all saved tags.
  • Edit Details -- Click here to edit the properties of saved tags or delete them.



To Add a Gift Card Tag:

  • Name -- Name the gift card tag
  • Restaurants -- Select the restaurants (accounts) the tag will be added to. This makes it convenient if you have multiple locations and want to use the same tags.



Total Liabilities

Here you can view total gift card liabilities for all gift cards. If tags are implemented, you can also view liability by tag. gift card liabilities are the total value remaining on activated gift cards.



Viewing Total Liabilities:

  • Total Liabilities
    • # Gift Cards -- Total number of all active gift cards.
    • Total Amount -- Current total amount of unspent value loaded onto all gift cards.
  • Total liabilities by Tag
    • Name -- Tag name
    • Count -- Number of cards with this tag
    • Amount -- Current total amount of unspent value loaded onto gift cards with this tag.

Online Gift Card Portal

Additional settings related to gift cards are in Online Ordering > Gift Card Portal Settings.


Rezku OLO comes with an online gift card ordering portal where your customers can purchase eGift cards and review their transaction history & check their gift card balance.

  • Enable Gift Card Portal -- Click the toggle so it is green, to enable the gift card portal
  • Max Gift Card Amount -- Set the maximum load amount allowed online


Accessing the Gift Card Portal

On your Rezku OLO portal page, at the top left is the link to buy gift cards online. Click the link to view the Online Gift Card Portal. 

NOTE: There is no physical card associated with eGift cards purchased online. However, the eGift card number can be used either online or inside the restaurant.

  • Check Balance -- Click here to enter an existing gift card number to view transacton history
  • Amount -- Choose a preset amount or a custom amount
  • Personalize-- Personalize your eGift Card
    • This is a gift -- The card number will be emailed to the recipient with a personal message.
    • This is for me -- Enter your personal details to have the card number emailed to you




Gift Card Reporting

Additional gift card sales details can be found in the gift card report. Go to Reporting > Reports > Gift Cards to see the number of active cards, total liability and amount spend within a date range.
