Dashboard

The dashboard gives you a quick, clear view of restaurant performance in a graphical format.

Setting the Date Range

By default, when the dashboard loads it shows you stats for the current day. If there are not yet any sales today, it will show you the previous day. To manually set the date viewed, click the drop-down box at the top left of the page.


Available date presets:

Today -- Shows data for the current day.

Yesterday -- Shows data for the previous day.

7-Days -- Shows data for the last 7 days.

Last Week (Sunday - Saturday) -- Shows data from the last week from Sunday to Saturday.

This Month (Month to Date) -- Shows data from the first of the current month to the current date.

Last Month (previous full month) -- Shows data for the last month from the first to the last day of the month.

Custom Range -- Select custom range and use the calendar to choose the first day and the last day in the range.

Available Data

Here is a list of the tiles and data available on the dashboard.


Labor vs. Sales -- Shows the ratio between labor cost and sales. Calculated from employee pay settings, and gross sales.

Sales -- A breakdown of gross sales showing discounts, comps and net sales.

Average Ticket -- A heat-map showing the highest ticket, the lowest ticket and the median average ticket.

Orders Paid -- The number of closed orders (settled orders).

Orders Unpaid -- The number of open orders (unsettled orders).

Covers -- The number of covers. Covers is derived from party size entered on the POS. If no party size is entered the order counts for one cover.

Average Party Size -- The average size of dining parties. Party size is determined when servers include party size or seats on an order.

Gratuity -- Total gratuity for the period viewed.

Food Cost -- Food cost based on unit sales. Food cost must be entered in product settings.

Food Profit -- Food profit based on sales minus cost. Food cost must be entered in product settings.

Tax Collected -- The dollar amount of tax collected for products with taxes applied.

Fees Collected -- The dollar amount of fees collected for orders with fees applied.

Non-Cash Tips -- Total tips for non-cash payment types including credit cards, gift cards and external payment types.

Gift Card Loads -- Total dollar amount loaded onto gift cards for the period.

Sales Vs. Labor (timeline) -- There is a line for sales and a line for labor. Click the key to toggle lines on and off. With this view you can find instances where labor outpaced sales.

Category Sales by Hour -- There is a line for each product reporting category. Click the key to toggle lines on and off. With this view you can see which categories are selling the most.

Sales by Category -- Shows a breakdown of gross sales by reporting category.

Sales by Order Type -- Shows a breakdown of gross sales by order type.

Top Products -- Shows the top 5 selling products.

Top Servers -- Shows the top 5 highest-selling servers.

Transactions -- Shows transaction volume by payment type.

Sales by Channel -- Shows a breakdown of sales by channel (POS and online orders).

Sales Exceptions -- An overview of irregular sales activity that may be suspicious.

86'd Items -- List of items that are currently 86'd from being ordered on the POS

Ingredients Under Par -- List of ingredients which are below the par value set for them.

Credit Card Activity -- A breakdown of all credit card activity by activity type.

Cash Drawer Activity -- A visual representation of activity across all cash drawers. Items that add value are reflected on the right side of the chart. Items that remove value are represented on the left side of the chart.
