CRM (customer relationship management)


 

The CRM database is for saving guest information. Track your customers' spending habits, store their contact information, their loyalty points and order history. There is no limit to the number of customer profiles you can store in CRM.


NOTE: You can edit customer contact information, dates and IDs but you can not edit customer loyalty points or other data tracked by the system.


Search CRM

You can search the database to view a saved customer's information.

  • Click the Search CRM Button
  • Search by customer ID, name, email, phone number or any other saved data
  • To edit a customer's profile click the Edit Details button
  • To View a customer's profile, click the View Details button
    • In Edit Customer Details:
      • Basics

        • First/Last Name

        • Email Address

        • Phone Number

        • Address (Street, City, Zip, etc.)

        • Tax Exempt -- When enabled, all orders for this customer are tax exempt on the POS.

      • Loyalty

        • Customer ID -- Customer ID number if used/entered by the restaurant

        • Card ID -- Physical gift cards can be used as loyalty cards. The number from the back of the card

        • Coupon Code -- Enter a coupon code to apply to all orders for this customer.

      • Details

        • Birthday -- Birth date, if entered

        • Anniversary -- Anniversary date, if entered

        • Notes -- Any staff notes entered for the guest

    • In View Customer Details:

      • Customer ID

      • Card ID

      • Name

      • Phone Number

      • Email

      • Birthday

      • Anniversary

      • Address (City, State, Zip, etc.)

      • Notes -- Notes you have added about the customer

      • Order Count -- Number of orders the customer has made

      • Average Sale

      • High Sale

      • Total Sales

      • Favorite (1-3)-- Customer's most ordered products



To view or edit the customer, click the appropriate button next to their name

Add New CRM Customer

Typically, new customers will be added when they place an order online or on the POS and their information is entered for the first time. A new customer can also be added by a manager in Back Office as well.

  • Click the Add New Customer button

  • In the Edit Customer panel:

    • Fill in the customer information

      • See customer information fields above in Search CRM

    • Click Save



View Top Customers

This view shows the top 5 customers for the month, their average spend per order and total (lifetime) spend.



Export CSV

You can Export a CSV file containing your entire CRM database.

  • Click Export CSV
  • a .CSV file  will download to your browsers default download folder.
  • Open in your preferred spreadsheet application or import into another application (e.g. As a mailing list for marketing)





Tax Exempt

You can mark a CRM customer as "Tax Exempt". This will automatically make all orders for this customer tax exempt -- taxes will not be collected for orders rung up under this customer's name.


To enable tax exemption, toggle "Tax Exempt" when adding the customer to the CRM in back office.


Discount (Coupon) Code

You can add a reoccurring discount that will be applied to all orders made by this customer by adding a coupon code to their account. NOTE: This coupon will be applied to every order, every time they order.
